If public funds from the municipality and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management had not supported the firefighters, the priests would have had nothing to bless. Nevertheless, it was precisely the blessing of the vehicles that became the highlight of the County Firefighters’ Day celebrations in Gromadka. Politicians from both PiS and the Civic Coalition attended the ceremony.
New fire engines were purchased in 2023 for OSP Różyniec (with a PLN 890,000 grant from Gromadka Municipality plus PLN 200,000 in Fund financing) and for OSP Wierzbowa (with a PLN 657,000 grant from Gromadka Municipality plus PLN 450,000 in Fund financing and PLN 4,000 in the unit’s own funds).
