On Monday morning, the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted an “Alcohol and Drugs” operation. Police headquarters: – Officers checked the sobriety of nearly 130 drivers; in 3 cases, the result was positive.
After 6 a.m., a 45-year-old man was stopped; he had 1 per mille of alcohol in his system. A few minutes later, a 64-year-old driver was checked, and in this case too, the test showed 1 per mille. Both men are residents of Bolesławiec County.
The further operation also involved a resident of Złotoryja County who was driving a tanker truck after consuming alcohol. The 35-year-old had 0.4 per mille of alcohol in his system.
Police summed up:
All the drivers had their driving licences confiscated. Each of them must expect a long-term loss of their driving privileges and consequences resulting from committing a crime or offence.
They added:
Police remind the public that driving after consuming alcohol or while intoxicated is strictly prohibited.
