The incident took place on April 4, in the morning, in one of the buildings in Kościelniki Górne (Lubań County). As eluban.pl reports:
The explosion hurled fragments of bricks onto the road and caused a fire inside. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had already reached the roof of the buildings, and there was a real risk of the fire spreading to the residential building.
And adds: – A 37-year-old man was injured in the explosion; according to neighbors, he had been experimenting with pyrotechnic materials.
The man suffered extensive burns; witnesses claimed that his arms had been broken and his thumb torn off. An Air Medical Rescue helicopter was called for the injured man.

The prosecutor’s office and police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
