On Saturday, 27 November, the official announcement of the results of the Best Vocational Teacher competition, organized by Powiat Bolesławiecki and the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Businesses, will take place at the Galeria wedding and banquet centre. “The employers who create the best conditions for young people to learn a trade win the competition,” explains Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Board of Powiat Bolesławiecki. “This concerns, among other things, social and financial conditions, as well as how the curriculum is implemented. Halina Pieniądz and Bożena Mucha, co-owners of the Fantazja clothing store, share a similar view. “We like working with young people,” admits Halina Pieniądz. “It is clear that trainees are different. Some of them really want to learn the trade and put a great deal of heart and commitment into their learning. We, in turn, try to instill in them kindness toward people, reliability and honesty,” adds Bożena Mucha.
Both co-owners have been training trainees for 20 years. As they emphasize, their former students easily find work. “The women who currently employ our trainees tell us that these girls know their trade very well,” says Bożena Mucha.
