During Wednesday’s meeting of the Bolesławiec City Council, councillors voted on a draft resolution to grant the Mayor of the City a vote of confidence. 15 councillors voted in favor, one person voted against and one abstained. The most interesting aspect is how the Impuls Lokalny club councillors voted:

  • Maciej Małkowski voted in favor,
  • Dominik Chodyra – against,
  • Iwona Bojko – abstained,
  • Łukasz Molak – did not take part in the vote.

A moment later, the mayor received discharge. 15 councillors voted in favor, including M. Małkowski. Iwona Bojko and Dominik Chodyra abstained, while Łukasz Molak once again did not take part in the vote.

As we already reported in the article Planned coalition in the county: Gabrysiak + PiS + Impuls, a coalition will be formed in Bolesławiec County between Tomasz Gabrysiak’s committee, Law and Justice and a representative of Impuls Lokalny. This would provide the majority in the council needed to elect the county head and the remaining members of the executive board.

Tomasz Gabrysiak is expected to remain county head, Patryk Hałka is expected to become deputy county head, and Maciej Małkowski—the person who voted today in favor of Mayor Roman’s vote of confidence—is expected to become council chair.
