A councillor from Impuls Lokalny asked in January how much and to whom the city paid for promotion in 2023. He requested a breakdown showing how much each editorial office received. The city office initially replied that it would provide the information immediately after 31 March.
The election passed, and there was still no answer. Yesterday, 18 April, we asked about it at the council office. Today, a document was published on the city’s website, but it did not state which editorial office received how much. Only a general summary of expenses was provided. It shows that more than half a million zlotys was spent on promotion—exactly PLN 556,000.
President Roman did not provide the details, while councillor Maciej Małkowski seems to have given up. Małkowski will soon become chairman of the county council in a coalition with Tomasz Gabrysiak, who cooperates with Piotr Roman.
For now, therefore, we present what is available on the website. We will stand in for the councillor and submit our own request under the access to public information procedure.
