On Thursday, April 4, the second first aid competition, “TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE – FIRST AID WITHOUT SECRETS,” for eighth-grade primary school students was held at BOK – MCC in Bolesławiec.
The competition was organized by the Wspierajmy Zdrowie Foundation. Its co-organizers were Szpital św. Łukasza in Bolesławiec and BOK – MCC. The Mayor of Bolesławiec served as the competition’s honorary patron, while the prizes were funded by the Municipal Commune of Bolesławiec. The portal istotne.pl was the event’s media patron.
The event aimed to promote knowledge about first aid and raise public awareness of life-saving.
Eight teams from six primary schools in Bolesławiec took part in the competition. The students had to demonstrate their knowledge in a test and their first aid skills in emergency situations such as choking, loss of consciousness and a bicycle accident.
The team from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 3 im. Armii Krajowej in Bolesławiec took first place, while second place went to the team from Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1 im. Janusza Kusocińskiego in Bolesławiec. The third-place team also represented Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1 im. Janusza Kusocińskiego in Bolesławiec.
During the competition, the organizers emphasized the importance of having basic first aid knowledge and being able to apply it in practice in emergency situations.
