– Near Jędrzychowice, KAS, CBŚP and SG officers checked the driver of a lorry transporting goods from Spain to Poland. During the inspection, the officers found over 100 kg of marijuana. The drugs were hidden in a special compartment located under the vehicle’s floor – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, press spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS. – This amount of drugs could yield approximately 100,000 dealer doses.
The lorry driver was placed in temporary detention and charged with participating in an organized criminal group and smuggling significant quantities of drugs, for which he faces up to 20 years in prison.

CBŚP officers, under the supervision of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Łódź, are investigating the activities of an international organized criminal group involved in the intra-EU smuggling of drugs from Spain to Poland. During a single transport, between 65 kg and over 100 kg of marijuana was smuggled.
The aforementioned gang had operated since 2022 and may have smuggled over 500 kg of drugs into Poland.
