During the Easter holidays, officers of the Komenda Powiatowa Policji w Bolesławcu conducted intensified operations aimed at ensuring the safety of residents and people travelling through our county.

From Friday to Monday, officers intervened 194 times and checked 376 people. Nine wanted people were arrested. Criminal investigators also apprehended a 40-year-old man who had several dozen portions of methamphetamine.

Moreover, four intoxicated drivers were stopped on the roads of Bolesławiec County:

  • In Nowogrodziec, a 34-year-old man with a blood alcohol level of 1.5 per mille lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a roadside ditch.
  • Two such incidents occurred in Bolesławiec. A 45-year-old man with nearly 2 per mille drove off the road and hit a fence. Meanwhile, a 43-year-old man drove a passenger car with 0.6 per mille of alcohol in his system.
  • In Gromadka, a cyclist with 2.5 per mille of alcohol was riding on a public road.

Police officers from Nowogrodziec arrested a 31-year-old man who got behind the wheel despite having a decision revoking his driving privileges. Road traffic officers also apprehended a 34-year-old man who violated a court ban and disregarded a decision revoking his driving privileges.

The police department adds: – Criminal investigators identified and arrested the perpetrators responsible for property damage, two perpetrators of an assault, and a man suspected of making criminal threats.
