Their destination was the European Parliament. The trip was the result of their participation in a competition organized by the European Parliament Liaison Office. The competition task was to make a 30-second video and create a meme encouraging people to participate in the 2024 European Parliament elections.

There were many ideas, but little time. The students got to work—they came up with a script, recorded a film, edited the whole thing, created a meme and ... went to Strasbourg to take part in a workshop on parliamentarism in Strasbourg.

Euroscola was an event that brought young people from across Europe to Strasbourg on 21 March. They discussed gender equality. The debate was one of the key points of the program, focusing attention on the challenges and opportunities facing European society in this area. During the event, the young participants had the opportunity to exchange their views, experiences and proposed solutions concerning gender equality. The representatives of Bolesławiec—six seventh-grade students, thirteen eighth-grade students and five graduates of our school—proudly represented our city.

The Euroscola event in Strasbourg not only enabled an exchange of views on gender equality, but also inspired participants to take action to build a fairer and more equal European society, and Maja Czarna—a school graduate—had the opportunity to interview Sven Saekert, Director-General for Communication.

We invite you to watch and listen to the interview with Sven Saekert, moderator of the European Parliament proceedings during the meeting held as part of the Euroscola program in Strasbourg on Thursday, 21 March 2024.
