– Operational work by officers from the Criminal Department of the Bolesławiec police unit led to the recovery of a stolen car worth PLN 250,000 and the arrest of a fence – reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
She adds: – The 39-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle when uniformed officers knocked on the door. Surprised, he tried to avoid arrest. He started the car and, reversing, hit a police car. It did not help much. The man was subdued and arrested.

The vehicle, worth PLN 250,000, which was lost as a result of a crime in November 2023 in Karkonosze County, has been secured. It will soon be returned to its owner.
They add: – Further actions led to the seizure of several dozen portions of drugs—marijuana and methamphetamine—which the suspect had on him, as well as license plates found in the trunk that came from a crime.

The 39-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County also has road offenses on his record, as he drove a vehicle despite a court-imposed driving ban. He will also be held responsible for failing to stop for a roadside inspection.
The man has already been charged with handling a stolen vehicle, damaging a police car, possessing drugs, violating a court-imposed ban, and failing to stop for a roadside inspection. He now faces up to five years in prison.
