Officers from the Central Bureau of Investigation, together with Bolesławiec police officers, apprehended a woman and a man suspected of smuggling narcotic substances. They were detained on one of the streets in Bolesławiec. Investigators found more than 2.2 kg of marijuana in the suspects' car.
Preliminary findings indicate that the 29-year-old woman from Łódź and the 33-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality were smuggling drugs from the Netherlands to Poland. At the prosecutor's request, the court ordered their temporary detention. The detainees face up to 8 years in prison.
