The incident occurred on 15 March. As reported by firefighters from Legnica:
(...) at 10:57 a.m., the Command Post of the Municipal Commander of the State Fire Service in Legnica received a report of a road accident involving trucks, which occurred at the 96th kilometre of the A4 motorway in the direction of Wrocław.
And they add: – The Specialist Technical Rescue Group from Bolesławiec was also dispatched to the scene. The firefighters’ actions consisted of securing the scene, disconnecting the power supply in the vehicles and gaining access to the injured person using hydraulic tools.
They also add: – The trapped driver remained conscious throughout. After gaining access, the firefighters evacuated the injured person and handed him over to the Medical Rescue Team.
The police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident. The officers are appealing for caution and prudence on the road.
