The workstations are already prepared to accept passport applications and issue passports. However, the final date for launching the office depends on a decision by the Lower Silesian Voivode.
City officials: – It is worth recalling that the Bolesławiec City Council agreed to accept from the Lower Silesian Voivode tasks related to government administration, concerning the acceptance of passport applications and the issuing of passports. On November 16, 2023, the Mayor of Bolesławiec submitted an application to the Lower Silesian Voivode for the possibility of establishing a Local Passport Office (TPP) within the area of the Bolesławiec urban municipality, indicating that its establishment would provide easier access to obtaining a passport, shorten the waiting time for the document, and eliminate the time and travel costs involved in reaching the nearest passport office. On November 28, 2023, the Mayor of Bolesławiec signed a letter of intent with the Lower Silesian Voivode regarding the establishment and operation of the Local Passport Office in Bolesławiec.
