The incident occurred on Friday, November 5. After 10 p.m., police received a report that a traffic incident had occurred on the road between Krzyżowa and Gromadka. A car had ended up in a ditch. When the patrol arrived at the scene, the driver was already gone. It turned out that the car belonged to one of the Bolesławiec police officers.
The man was off duty that evening. However, it is known that he was drunk. The prosecutor’s office is handling the case. If it is established that the officer was driving the car while intoxicated, he could face up to two years in prison. He will also face disciplinary liability.
