Operational work by criminal investigators from Bolesławiec established that the 26-year-old had come into possession of someone else’s payment card and used it many times.
Police:
A resident of Bolesławiec admitted that he had found the card on one of the city’s streets and started using it very quickly. After making 11 payments for his purchases, difficulties arose. However, the 26-year-old did not give up and made another 22 attempts to break into the bank account, but none of them succeeded because the card had been blocked.
He then threw away the now-useless find.
Officers explain: – Initially, the suspect heard some of the charges. However, cooperation with the bank made it possible to establish that the man had used the card a total of 33 times and to supplement the charges.
The Bolesławiec resident now faces up to 10 years behind bars.
