On Wednesday, 27 October, a ceremony was held at the military unit, attended by volunteers beginning preparatory training with the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade. “You have begun training during which you will learn the basics and secrets of military service. It is a test of character and resilience, as well as discipline and the ability to work as a team,” said Col. Jarosław Kraszewski, the Brigade commander, during the ceremonial formation. “I would like your perseverance in acquiring knowledge to bring you personal satisfaction, and for the results achieved during training to translate into further service in the National Reserve Forces.
The presentation of firearms to the trainees was the most important part of the formation. They were received by: Krzysztof Wieczorek, Łukasz Tettmajer, Piotr Szkoda and Michał Martynia.
“The firearms presented to you are a symbol of combat, security and military discipline. Respect them and take care of their technical condition, and when their use becomes necessary, they will never let you down,” Kraszewski added.
