Yesterday, around midday, a citizen’s arrest of an intoxicated woman took place in the center of Bolesławiec. Police:
Witnesses reacted after seeing a female driver get out of a vehicle in a parking lot and walk unsteadily toward the parking meter.
A married couple notified the police and prevented the suspect from driving away from the scene.
The intervening couple’s suspicions were confirmed. The 41-year-old from Dzierżoniów County had indeed gotten behind the wheel while drunk. A test showed more than 2.5‰ of alcohol in her system.
The driver was arrested. Our police command: – According to findings by Bolesławiec police officers, less than a month ago the suspect committed the same offense in another Lower Silesian town, and her driving license was confiscated at that time.
The woman now faces up to three years in prison. Officers: – We congratulate the residents of Bolesławiec on their vigilance and determination in taking action!
