The incident occurred during the night of January 2–3 in Czerna, on national road No. 94. As reported by the Bolesławiec police:
The 27-year-old BMW driver, a resident of Bolesławiec County, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle and went off the road, hitting a tree.
The officers add: – The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. Unfortunately, the driver died.
Police and the prosecutor's office are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.

We appeal for caution and for adjusting speed to the prevailing road conditions. Although temperatures are above freezing, every driver must remember that, especially at night, the road may be slippery, while precipitation reduces the vehicle's grip and increases braking distance.
