A reader wrote to us that the holes were cut a few days ago.
Can anyone rationally explain who cut two holes in the newly laid asphalt at the intersection of Łasicka Street and Żeromski Street, and for what purpose? The holes are in no way marked or secured, and after dark practically everyone drives into them!
Two years ago, representatives of the city and county ceremoniously opened two beautifully renovated roads: Łasicka Street and Stefana Żeromskiego Street. Renovating more than a kilometre-long section of the streets, including sidewalks on both sides, cost PLN 1,600,000 (80% of the costs was covered by funding from the Government Roads Fund, while the 20% own contribution was divided equally between Bolesławiec County and the City of Bolesławiec).
On Thursday, 7 December, we asked the Bolesławiec County Road Authority about the holes in the road and are awaiting a response.
