A community police officer from the Bolesławiec police headquarters, on a day off from duty, noticed a man whose appearance matched that of a wanted person. As our local police headquarters reports:
The police officer made sure that he had spotted a person wanted by the justice system, then detained him and notified the unit’s duty officer. The completely surprised Bolesławiec resident did not expect to be detained by an officer in plain clothes.
After a while, a police patrol arrived at the scene, and the wanted man was handed over to the officers. The officers said: – A check of police databases confirmed that the 27-year-old was wanted by the District Court in Bolesławiec to serve a six-month prison sentence.
They concluded:
The Bolesławiec police officer proved through his actions that he takes the words of the oath seriously and remains a police officer at all times.
