The ceremony marking Rocket and Artillery Forces Day at the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów began with the ceremony commander, Col. Dariusz Bielecki, reporting to Brig. Gen. Mirosław Downar, commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade.
Lt. Damian Kleczyński, an officer in the educational section, read a letter from the Inspector of the Land Forces, Maj. Gen. Piotr Trytek, who wrote:
The Rocket and Artillery Forces have always been a fundamental element of fire support and, without a doubt, currently constitute one of the most important components of the battlespace.
The general also wished everyone health, happiness and success in their professional and personal lives.
Unit:
The next point of the ceremony was the reading of orders recognizing soldiers. By order of the commander of the 11th Lubuska Armored Cavalry Division, the following were recognized:
- Commendations – 4 soldiers,
- Letters of commendation – 3 soldiers,
- Reward leave of 3 days – 2 soldiers,
- Reward leave of 4 days – 3 soldiers,
- Reward leave of 5 days – 1 soldier.
By order of the commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, the following were recognized:
- Letters of commendation – 9 soldiers,
- Commendation letters with a photograph against the backdrop of the standard – 5 soldiers,
- Material awards – 2 soldiers,
- The honorary title “Meritorious Soldier of the Republic of Poland,” with a third-degree badge – 2 soldiers.
After the awards and distinctions were presented, the commander, Brig. Gen. Mirosław Downar, addressed those gathered:
We, the soldiers of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, can be proud of our colleagues serving in the Rocket and Artillery Forces (…), and I extend my heartfelt thanks for the exemplary performance of your duties, for your courage and responsibility, and for the assistance you provide at every hour of the day and night.
