A Bolesławiec resident who does not like Rev. Andrzej Jarosiewicz put up a single death notice on Prusa Street. It read as follows:

It is with sorrow that we announce that on 7–8 December 2023, the Reverend Prelate, PhD Andrzej Jarosiewicz, passed away from us,
the late Reverend Prelate, PhD Andrzej Jarosiewicz.
Holy Mass will be held on 7–8 December 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas, the Bolesławiec Basilica.
after which the body will be escorted to the Parish of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in WĘGLINIEC.

The resident we spoke to told us that he was outraged by the priest’s way of carrying out his pastoral ministry to date. He is probably not the only one, because comments on our forum suggest that there are more dissatisfied people. In his farewell, Father Jarosiewicz also emphasized that he had focused on renovations and investments. He cared for the church’s walls, but not for the living Church—that is, its people.

We believe that this way of expressing outrage is nevertheless controversial and too radical. What do you think?
