On Monday, October 18, a knowledge competition on NSZZ “Solidarność”, addressed to students from Bolesławiec middle schools, was held in the building of the City History Department of the Museum of Ceramics. Five teams took part in the tournament. Participants had to answer a series of questions comprehensively testing their knowledge of various issues related to the establishment and activities of NSZZ “Solidarność” in the Bolesławiec region. In addition to questions concerning historical events and processes, there were also tasks testing the ability to associate facts, reflexes and the ability to draw logical conclusions. The competition between the three-person teams was assessed by a committee whose core members were Bolesławiec “S” activists: Zbigniew Razik, Antonina Zenona Dutkowska and Jan Filipek.
The team from Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 won the competition (comprising: Eliza Bandrów, Rafał Jakuczek and Wojciech Kus). The team from GS No. 3 took second place (Aleksandra Dziuba, Agata Reguła and Justyna Szewczyk). The team from II Prywatne Gimnazjum took third place (Klaudia Piątek, Krzysztof Mazurkiewicz and Kamil Serafin).
The tournament was organized by: the Museum of Ceramics, the Jelenia Góra Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” and Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 in Bolesławiec.
