The incident occurred early Friday morning on Widok Street in Bolesławiec, by the kiosk near the bridge. The eight-year-old girl got off a bus and ran across the road. She was hit by a car. However, the driver did not stop or help the child. Martynka, lying by the road, was found by another driver, who took her to her mother.
The girl has been under observation in hospital since Friday. She suffered a concussion and an injured chin, and her left ear hurts.
As Martynka's mother told us, nobody knew anything. Nobody called the police. There are no witnesses, even though it was eight in the morning and many people were getting off at the bus stop or waiting for a bus.
Anyone who can help clarify the case or identify the driver who hit the child should contact the police.
