The awards are granted for outstanding achievements in artistic activity, the dissemination and protection of culture, the development of science, outstanding results achieved in sport, and social initiatives contributing to the promotion of the city.
The following are entitled to submit applications for the awards:
- the Mayor of Bolesławiec,
- the Bolesławiec City Council and committees of the Bolesławiec City Council,
- cultural institutions, associations and creative unions,
- art agencies and socio-cultural associations,
- editorial offices of local newspapers, radio and television stations,
- publishers,
- educational institutions,
- scientific and research associations and organizations,
- sports clubs, associations and organizations,
- social and local-government organizations,
- local-government bodies, authorities and units.
Individuals and those interested in receiving the award themselves are not entitled to submit applications for the awards.
The procedure and rules for granting the Bolesławiec Mayor’s Awards are set out in Resolution No. XV/104/11 of the Bolesławiec City Council of 26 October 2011 on establishing the Bolesławiec Mayor’s Awards for promoting the city and defining the procedure and rules for granting them.
Applications for the awards for promoting Bolesławiec in 2023 should be submitted at the Customer Service Office in the Town Hall, ul. Rynek 41.
