Yesterday, before 3 p.m., a dangerous road incident involving three vehicles occurred on national road no. 94. Emergency services, including the Zgorzelec traffic police, were dispatched to the scene.
According to the officers’ findings, a 20-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet from Żarska Wieś towards Zgorzelec noticed that a traffic jam was beginning to form ahead of her. Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the Commander of the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec:
The young woman then decided to turn around, disregarding the road markings. She also failed to make sure that the manoeuvre was safe and began turning around while being overtaken by a Renault, which she hit. As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet stopped in the left lane, along which a BMW was travelling; it collided with the woman’s car.
Fortunately, no one suffered more serious injuries. The 20-year-old was fined and received 12 penalty points.
