For this purpose, Bolesławiec City Hall has prepared a “DECLARATION OF INTENT TO JOIN THE PRIORITY PROGRAMME ‘WARM APARTMENT’” for residents interested in receiving funding to replace heat sources in residential units in multi-family buildings. Submitting the declaration will make it possible to estimate the number of people interested in receiving funding. By establishing the number of interested residents, the municipality of Bolesławiec will be able to prepare to submit an application for funding under the “Warm Apartment” programme.

What is the aim of the programme?

The main aim of the programme is to improve air quality and reduce emissions of particulate matter and greenhouse gases by replacing heat sources and improving energy efficiency in residential units located in multi-family residential buildings.

Who can benefit from the programme?

The programme is intended for individuals holding a legal title to a residential unit (ownership, a cooperative ownership right, or tenancy of a unit from municipal housing resources) and small housing communities (from 3 to 7 units).

Which investments are eligible for funding?

For individuals, eligible costs include funding for the dismantling of inefficient solid-fuel heat sources (so-called smog-belchers), as well as the purchase and installation of an environmentally friendly heat source or connection of the residential unit to an efficient heat source in the building. Once this work has been completed, it is also possible to finance the purchase and installation of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, the installation of window and door joinery, and the preparation of the necessary design documentation.

For housing communities, the grant will cover the dismantling of all inefficient solid-fuel heat sources in the building and the purchase and installation of a shared heat source for heating or heating and domestic hot water. It will also enable the purchase and installation of a new central-heating and/or domestic-hot-water system, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, insulation of building partitions, windows, doors or garage doors, a small photovoltaic installation, and the preparation of documentation (an energy audit, design documentation and expert opinions).

The declaration of intent to participate is used to assess the level of interest in the programme and does not constitute a formal application to the project. Once funding has been guaranteed, the City of Bolesławiec plans to open a grant application process for residents.

Residents interested in funding under the “Warm Apartment” programme are asked to complete the declarationincluded in the attachment and submit it by 15 December of the current year to the Customer Service Office of Bolesławiec City Hall.

IMPORTANT! The “Warm Apartment” programme does not fund the replacement of window and/or door joinery alone in residential units located in multi-family buildings. Replacement of the joinery is possible provided that all inefficient solid-fuel heat sources (so-called smog-belchers) used to heat the unit are dismantled and an efficient heat source is purchased and installed in that unit.

More information can be found in the attachment “Warm Apartment Priority Programme”.
