– At around 5:00 p.m., officers from the Lwówek police headquarters noticed a moped rider travelling through the streets of Wleń and decided to stop him for a traffic inspection – reports Staff Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – When the lights and siren were activated, the moped rider abandoned his vehicle and began fleeing on foot. He was apprehended after a short pursuit.
The moped rider turned out to be a 16-year-old resident of Karkonosze County who did not have a licence to operate the two-wheeler. The spokesperson said: – Moreover, the preliminary test result indicated that the minor was under the influence of drugs. Blood was taken from the 16-year-old for testing.
The teenager was handed over to his parents. He will now answer for his actions before a family court.
