30 and 31 October, in the morning hours, traffic police conducted a “Sober Morning” operation on roads in Bolesławiec County.

The aim of the operation was to check sobriety levels and remove intoxicated drivers from road traffic.

Over the course of two days, police officers checked the sobriety of 1,062 drivers. Officers:

In five cases, the result was positive. Three intoxicated drivers were detained on Monday. A 39-year-old man had more than 1 per mille of alcohol in his system, while a 25-year-old woman got behind the wheel with nearly 1 per mille. A resident of Greater Poland Voivodeship was driving a passenger car with 0.6 per mille.

On 31 October, officers also caught a 37-year-old man from Bolesławiec County who was driving after consuming alcohol.

In addition, during the operation, officers detained an intoxicated cyclist, while two drivers had their registration certificates confiscated due to the poor technical condition of their vehicles.
