The incident took place on Sunday, 22 October. Firefighters from Krzyżowa:
(...) at 1:58 p.m., we were dispatched to an SOS notification from the E-Call system on the A4, near the Krzyżowa interchange, where a passenger car had hit the barriers.
They added: – Upon arrival at the scene, an incident was confirmed on the 49th kilometre of the A4 in the direction of Zgorzelec. Our task was to secure the scene and provide first aid to those injured.
Bolesławiec police:
(...) the 68-year-old driver hit an energy-absorbing barrier after an unknown vehicle cut him off. The driver was taken to hospital; the female passengers were unharmed.
