More than 250 people took part in the Equality March. It was the first event of its kind in Bolesławiec for LGBT people. Among the guests was Piotr Borys, a member of parliament from the Civic Coalition Piotr Borys.
The Homokomando group from Warsaw, Tęczowe Karkonosze, Kultura Równości and Lambda Polska were there. Representatives of Miasta Maszerujące, Tęczowe Karkonosze and Ogólnopolski Strajk Kobiet also attended.
“At one point during the march, the sun came out. Apparently, God wanted it that way and sent good weather,” one of the men taking part in the march said.

A group of men, most of them masked, attempted to disrupt the march (one of their photos can be found in the gallery). The police prevented any incident, however, and secured the event professionally. Participants in the Equality March peacefully reached the Bolesławiec viaduct, where a picnic had been prepared for them.
The event was organized by the boleslawianie.eu association. The march was held under the patronage of the Representation of the European Commission in Poland.
