The organizers of CSD Görlitz-Zgorzelec have announced the program for this year’s Equality March. The event will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, on the German side of the Lusatian Neisse. This year’s edition will also be the fifth installment of the cross-border event.
One of the biggest attractions will be the music program featuring several artists known from the Eurovision Song Contest. Ruslana, the Ukrainian singer who won Eurovision in 2004 with the song “Wild Dances,” will appear on stage. However, the organizers warn that her performance may be canceled because of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Anne-Marie David will also come to Görlitz. The French singer won Eurovision in 1973, representing Luxembourg with the song “Tu te reconnaîtras.” Six years later, she competed for France and finished third.
Three other Eurovision stars will also perform on stage. Poli Genova represented Bulgaria twice, finishing fourth in 2016 with the song “If Love Was a Crime.” Chiara competed for Malta three times, including winning second place in 2005. Hera Björk represented Iceland in 2010 and 2024.
The program will also feature Daniel Schumacher, Christian Jaycob – winner of the German program “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” in 2024 – and OXA, a finalist on “The Voice of Germany” in 2025.
The march will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Berliner Straße in Görlitz, in front of the Chamber of Crafts. After walking through the city streets, participants will meet at Obermarkt, where the final gathering, called the “Diversity Picnic,” will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
The program includes speeches by politicians, administrative representatives and activists, concerts, artistic performances, and booths run by social organizations and political parties. This year’s event slogan is “love::united,” emphasizing cooperation between the residents of Görlitz and Zgorzelec, as well as the idea of solidarity across borders.
After the program at Obermarkt ends, a party will be held at Nostromo club at 21 Cottbuser Straße. It is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. Admission to the outdoor events is free, while tickets for the club party cost 8 euros in presale or 10 euros at the entrance.
The detailed and updated program is available on the official CSD Görlitz-Zgorzelec website.
