The incident occurred after 12:30 a.m. during the night from Sunday to Monday. Firefighters received a call about a chimney fire. Upon arriving at the scene, they found that sparks were coming out of the pipe and there was a flame inside. Soot had caught fire. However, no one opened the apartment where the fireplace was located.
There was a suspicion that someone was inside and might need help. Firefighters entered the apartment through a window. It turned out that the residents were sleeping so soundly that they did not hear the firefighters knocking.
No one was injured in the fire. Extinguishing the chimney took more than an hour and a half.
