On October 4, 2023, the City Hall handed over the construction site for work related to the construction of a sports complex, together with accompanying infrastructure, at Primary School No. 5 on Dolne Młyny Street in Bolesławiec.

What will be built at Dolne Młyny?

  • a 160-metre circular running track, with 4/3 lanes, and a straight section with a total length of 72.5 metres and a synthetic surface;
  • a long-jump pit with a run-up from the track;
  • a high-jump facility with a synthetic surface;
  • a multifunctional sports court with a synthetic surface and marked areas for:
    • handball,
    • mini-basketball,
    • volleyball,
    • tennis;
  • a shot-put circle;
  • fitness trail equipment:
    • a movable walkway,
    • jumping hurdles,
    • fitness posts,
    • a horizontal ladder;
  • a shelter;
  • small architectural elements, such as a bicycle rack, rubbish bins and benches;
  • a drainage system;
  • lawns.

The complex will be fenced. The contractor is BUD – ZIEM from Pszenna. Cost: PLN 2,986,000. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of August 2024.
