On Friday, October 1, Bolesławiec police conducted the “Speed” operation, aimed at improving road safety in the city and county. Officers inspected 60 vehicles and issued 59 penalty fines. Moreover, using a speed camera, the officers recorded 30 cases of exceeding the permitted speed limit.
Police remind drivers that excessive speed is one of the most common causes of road accidents, while seat belts are the most effective way to ensure safety while driving. Half of the fatalities in road accidents could be alive today if they had been wearing seat belts at the moment of the collision.
