City Hall: “The Bolesławiec project consists of two tasks improving safety at pedestrian crossings located in places with the highest number of accidents and near public buildings.
The task will be carried out by August 2024. The project is worth PLN 191,690.
City officials add: “It is worth noting that, as part of activities related to pedestrian safety, work on the project ‘Increasing the safety of pedestrians and cyclists in road traffic in the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality’ will be completed by the end of October this year. As part of this project:
- a raised pedestrian crossing on Jana Pawła II Street;
- a raised pedestrian crossing with a bicycle crossing on Sierpnia ‘80 Street,
- a raised pedestrian crossing on Wybickiego Street;
- a raised pedestrian crossing on Obrońców Helu Street;
- a raised pedestrian crossing on Teatralna Street;
- a pedestrian refuge island on Zgorzelecka Street;
- a pedestrian refuge island on Komuny Paryskiej Street;
- a pedestrian refuge island on Zygmunta Augusta Street;
- a speed cushion on Starzyńskiego Street;
- a countdown display at the intersection of Adama Asnyka and K. Miarki Streets – locations: A. Asnyka–Sierpnia ‘80 Street (2 units); A. Asnyka–Tysiąclecia Avenue (2 units), K. Miarki (2 units), Żwirki i Wigury (2 units);
- a countdown display at the Tamka–Kościuszki intersection – 2 units.
- a countdown display at the Grunwaldzka–Tamka intersection – 2 units.
- a speed display – Tysiąclecia Avenue,
- equipping Primary School No. 3 named after the Home Army in Bolesławiec with an educational road-safety tool – a reaction-time trainer.
