– Police officers from Bolesławiec received a report about a man who might be in a life-threatening situation – reports junior constable Tomasz Nowak from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The information was imprecise, as there are many places near the A4 motorway in Bolesławiec County, such as the one indicated in the report.
The officers knew they had to act quickly because a human life could be at risk.

At the same time, the duty officer at the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters began a telephone conversation with the person needing help in order to gain as much time as possible for the operation and precisely determine the caller’s location.
The negotiations led to a specific location near the motorway being established. The Bolesławiec officers: – When the police patrol found the resident of Bolesławiec County, he was already in a situation posing a real threat to his life, and only seconds and millimetres separated him from tragedy. The officers began the next stage of negotiations and attempts to help a person who clearly needed it.
The young man abandoned his plan. The officers took care of him and then handed him over to medics.
