At the beginning of June, in the article Reader: Wojska Polskiego Avenue is not a racetrack, we discussed the widespread problem of speeding on this road. Many drivers did not comply with the speed limit sign of 40 km/h.
Now, in addition, new road markings have appeared on both sides of the roadway, partially excluding sections of it from traffic. When driving there, you should slow down and go around the excluded sections.
We asked Paweł Bednarski, head of the District Roads Authority, about the matter. He told us that the aim was to “calm traffic.”
