Winter is finally easing, fortunately. The past one took its toll on both drivers and the services responsible for road maintenance. Frequent snowfall and the resulting icy conditions meant that this winter the District Roads Authority used approximately 2,100 tons of sand-and-salt mixture and 150 tons of salt. That is several percent more than in previous years.

The district road crews emphasize, however, that they were prepared for this.

The situation on the roads is returning to normal. Cleanup work began approximately two weeks ago.

Unfortunately, the aftermath of this intense and unpredictable winter includes damage—also greater than in previous years. Fortunately, repair works are expected to begin soon, including in Trzebień.

As announced by the District Roads Authority, the district roads should be cleared by the end of April.
