In the 2023/2024 school year, 313 first-graders began their education at these institutions, which are run by the Municipality of Bolesławiec.

The city also has schools run by other bodies that receive a subsidy from the Bolesławiec city budget for their operations:
- Private Primary School “OXPRESS” – 230 students, subsidy of PLN 2,155,010;
- Public Primary School of the Piarist Order – 285 students, subsidy of PLN 3,179,481;
- from September 1, 2023, also the Bolesławiec Academy of Good Education – 37 students, subsidy of PLN 266,397.
