Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn detained a 56-year-old woman suspected of misappropriating property. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters: – The victim left the scooter on the property where the suspect and her family live. When he returned from work, having travelled there with the suspect’s son, it turned out that the two-wheeler, worth PLN 1,500, had been unlawfully “secured.”
The officers add:
The resident of Bolesławiec County admitted to misappropriating the scooter, explaining that she had done so as payment toward an alleged debt owed by the owner of the two-wheeler to the suspect’s son.
The outcome? The woman voluntarily submitted to punishment, while the vehicle was recovered by the police and returned to its owner.
The Bolesławiec police remind residents:
Misappropriating someone else’s property is punishable by up to three years in prison, while misappropriating entrusted property is punishable by up to five years in prison.
