On August 20, at around 10:20 p.m., police officers were notified that a completely drunk woman was walking along Konstytucji 3 Maja Street in Karpacz with a small child in her arms.
– When the officers arrived at the scene, they noticed a group of people, including a woman who was having trouble staying on her feet and was staggering, while holding a small child in her arms. She was standing close to the edge of the roadway – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters.
She adds: – She was completely drunk and aggressive. She admitted that she had been drinking vodka. An alcohol test showed 3 per mille in her system.
For safety reasons, the officers placed the woman and the 16-month-old girl in a police car.
The mother was taken to police custody, while the child was taken to a care facility. The family court will be notified of the situation. Investigators: – Police officers are currently checking whether, while caring for the child in such a state, the mother posed a threat to the child’s life or health.
