The creator of the Ørganek project is 47-year-old Tomasz Organek, a Polish musician, composer, singer and lyricist. He is one of the founders of the band Sofa. His music includes hip-hop, soul, R&B, funk and alternative rock.

In 2013, he formed a band called Ørganek. A year later, the band’s debut album, titled Głupi[18], was released by the record label Mystic Production. The first single from the album, the song “Kate Moss,” reached first place on the NRD – Najlepsza Rockowa Dwudziestka chart on Eska Rock radio. He also received two awards from the Mayor of Toruń as part of the Toruńskie Gwiazdy festival, in the categories Hope of the Year 2014 and Album of the Year 2014. Also in 2014, the band performed at concerts in the Męskie Granie series and at the Orange Warsaw Festival, where it presented songs from its debut album.
On October 22, 2014, he was honored with the Mateusz Święcicki Music Award of Polish Radio Programme 3. In December, he received the Grzegorz Ciechowski Artistic Award of the City of Toruń. In June 2017, during celebrations connected with the Toruń City Festival, he was honored by the residents of Toruń by unveiling his Katarzyna in the Gingerbread Stars Avenue. In June 2018, he received the ZAiKS Authors’ Association Award at the 55th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole for the “best lyrics” (for the song “5 rano”).
