– We want a normal Poland and believe that we will have strong representation of local government representatives both in the Sejm and the Senate – says Tymoteusz Myrda, one of the leaders of the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives grouping.

The Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives are a breath of fresh air on the Polish political scene. In the 2018 local elections, they exceeded five percent nationwide, winning the votes of nearly one million voters.

– Two months of hard work lie ahead of us. We see the problems faced by communes, towns and cities throughout Poland, because as local government representatives we are closest to the residents – said Krzysztof Maj, spokesperson for the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives. – We will translate our support in local governments throughout Poland into a result that will guarantee our entry into the Sejm – he added.

In addition to the Sejm elections, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives will put forward their candidates for the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

– We have a team, and people want to work with us. Groups of women, community activists, scientists and athletes have joined us. These are knowledgeable people with a wealth of experience. It is not true that the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives are only in Lower Silesia. We operate throughout Poland – said Dariusz Kacprzak, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives’ plenipotentiary for the elections to the Senate of the Republic of Poland.

In their programme for a Normal Poland, the Nonpartisan Local Government Representatives propose, among other things, free urban and regional public transport, 0% PIT for everyone, and free, healthy lunches for children in schools.
