On 31 July, an incident occurred. – At around 4:15 p.m., officers from the Jelenia Góra traffic police responded to a report stating that a passenger vehicle had gone off the road on Konstytucji 3 Maja Street in Jelenia Góra – reports junior inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Jelenia Góra KMP.

At the scene, the officers noticed a Mercedes. It was off the road, but the driver was not there. Spokesperson: – The officers began searching for him, and a moment later noticed a man crossing the carriageway at an unauthorized location.

It turned out that this was the driver the officers had been looking for. The Mercedes driver approached the police officers. He admitted that he had been driving the car that hit a tree. He also stated that the vehicle was unroadworthy because its brakes did not work.

The result? The man was fined PLN 3,550 (including for driving an unroadworthy car and crossing the carriageway at an unauthorized location). What is more, the registration certificate of the Mercedes in question was confiscated.
