Officers from the Investigative Division and criminal investigators from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, supported by experts from the Forensic Laboratory, received information about a man who might be illegally possessing large quantities of firearms and ammunition and arrested a 52-year-old resident of Lubelskie Voivodeship. Police Superintendent Łukasz Dutkowiak, spokesperson for the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters: – The officers carried out these activities as part of preparatory proceedings supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legnica.

And he adds:

The man suspected of possessing firearms and ammunition without the required permit for further distribution, that is, of an offense under Article 263 §§ 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code, showed no small amount of surprise when he saw criminal investigators from Wrocław entering his property in Lubelskie Voivodeship.

A total of 184 firearms were secured, including pistols and submachine guns, rifles, shotguns, and revolvers. Various types of ammunition and gunpowder were also seized.

Spokesperson: – After his arrest, the 52-year-old was taken to a police detention facility and then brought before the prosecutor’s office and court in Legnica.

And adds:

The evidence gathered by the officers provided grounds for the court to impose pre-trial detention on the suspect for three months.

The 52-year-old faces a sentence of between one and as many as ten years in prison. The officers:
