On 12 July, representatives of the Wrocław branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways conducted an operation with police officers from Bolesławiec at the Czerna MOP on the A4. As the road authority explains, the aim of the action was “to reduce the number of road incidents by disciplining drivers to change bad habits behind the wheel.”
Road workers: – Drivers who complied with the regulations received first-aid kits or reflective vests.
They add:
Unfortunately, excessive speed is one of the main causes of road accidents. It means that we may fail to control the vehicle we are driving in time, which can lead to road incidents with tragic consequences.
They also add:
We appeal to drivers to get behind the wheel well rested, plan their journeys and not drive too closely behind other vehicles. During their journey, they should use the road information hotline 19111, where they can obtain up-to-date information about what is happening on national roads.
