The incident took place on Sunday, July 9. Firefighters from Bolesławiec:

(…) after 7:00 p.m., a report was received about a forest fire at kilometer 24 of the A4 motorway. Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that the forest floor was burning across an area of approximately 1.5 hectares.

That was not all. The uniformed officers: – Additionally, wooden fence sections were burning above the motorway, at the wildlife crossing, and were falling onto the roadway.

The Bolesławiec District Headquarters of the State Fire Service reports that traffic in the lane toward Wrocław was halted while the fire was being extinguished and the burned fence sections were subsequently removed.

The danger was eliminated; fortunately, no one was injured. Eight units (39 firefighters) took part in the operation.
