Due to the high temperature, conditions in the county have become quite dry. Firefighters are frequently called to field fires. The firefighters from OSP Nowogrodziec described yesterday’s callouts as follows.

On 08.07.2023 at 15:30, with two fire crews, we intervened in Gościszów at a stubble-field fire, cooperating with the local unit.

After one of our vehicles had been refilled with water, we were redirected to a grass fire near buildings in Zebrzydowa. The fire was brought under control there by the OSP Zebrzydowa and OSP Czerna units, and we helped extinguish the fire site. Twenty ares of grass were burned.

While returning from this intervention, another dispatch came in! We went to a stubble-field fire in Brzeźnik. There, thanks to cooperation with OSP Brzeźnik and OSP Ocice, we put out a dangerous fire that threatened the nearby forest. Thirty ares were burned.

It is very dry! Be careful during fieldwork and visits to the forest.
